14About the middle of the festival Jesus went up into the temple and began to teach. 15The Jewswereastonishedatit,saying,‘Howdoesthismanhavesuchlearning,whenhehasneverbeentaught?’16ThenJesusansweredthem,‘Myteachingisnotminebuthiswhosentme.17Anyone who resolves to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God or whetherIamspeakingonmyown.18Those who speak on their own seek their own glory; but theonewhoseeksthegloryofhimwhosenthimistrue,andthereisnothingfalseinhim.’

9Whentheyhadgoneashore,theysawacharcoalfirethere,withfishonit,andbread.10Jesus saidtothem,‘Bringsomeofthefishthatyouhavejustcaught.’11So Simon Peter went aboard andhauledthenetashore,fulloflargefish,ahundredandfifty-threeofthem;andthoughthereweresomany,thenetwasnottorn.12Jesussaidtothem,‘Comeandhavebreakfast.’Nownoneofthedisciplesdaredtoaskhim,‘Whoareyou?’becausetheyknewitwastheLord.13Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them,anddidthesamewiththefish.14This was now the third time that Jesus appeared to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

The penalty for a broken oath is to feed ten indigent persons with such food as you normally provide to your own family,ortoclothetenneedypeople,or to free one slave. The one who cannot afford any of these must fast three days. This is the expiationforbreakingyouroaths.Therefore,bemindfulofyouroaths.ThusAllahmakescleartoyouHisrevelationsthatyoumaybethankful.89

Obelievers!Intoxicantsandgambling,dedicationtostonesanddivisionbyarrowsarethefilthy works of Shaitãn.Getawayfromthem,sothatyoumayprosper.90 Shaitãn desires to stirupenmityandhatredbetweenyouwithintoxicantsandgamblingandtopreventyoufromtheremembranceofAllahandfromSalah.Willyounotabstain?91ObeyAllahandobeytheRasoolandabstainfromthesethings.Ifyoudonot,thenyoushouldknowthatOurRasool’sduty is only to pass on My message clearly.92 There is no blame on those who believe and do good deeds for what they ateinthepast,providedtheyabstainfromthosethingswhichhavebeenmadeunlawful,thenremainsteadfastintheirbeliefanddorighteousdeeds,thenabstainthemselves from whatever they are forbidden and believe in Divine Law,andthenfearAllahand do good deeds. For Allah loves those who do good deeds.93
