. Congratulations to Drew Eisenhauer!
Drew won first place in Richmond School’s All-School Geography Bee. After the bee he took a written test that included
multiple choice and essay questions. The test was submitted to National Geographic in Washington D.C. Richmond School
was notified that Drew’s test results qualified to place him in the competition at the Wisconsin State Geography Bee. The
National Geographic State Geography Bee will be held in Madison, WI, at the National Headquarters Building of American
Family Insurance. It will be held on March 27. We are very proud of Drew’s accomplishments and wish him the very best!

Community Lunch and Learn Sign-Up Richmond School’s Student Council will be hosting the Community Lunch and Learn event again on March27.
The purpose of this event is to invite our community members to join Mr. Weiss, Mrs. Santharam and our
council members for lunch while learning about all the latest academic and technological initiatives that
Richmond School is doing with all students. Learn about our STEM lab and see our 3D printer in action. The
highlight of our lunch will be a special video that our students have created that will detail everything that they
love about their school. If you would like to join us you will be greeted by student council members as you join
them for lunch and conversation. They will share their knowledge of all the latest technology and academic
programs with you. Following lunch, you will take a short tour of classrooms to see firsthand how things work.
Even if you have knowledge of your own child and his or her classroom, it can be very enlightening to
experience the activities and projects being taught in other grades. If you are interested in joining us, even if you
have attended in the past, we would love to have you sign-up for this event. We would also encourage you to
invite any extended family members to attend. The Community Lunch and Learn will be held from 12:30-1:45
on Friday, March 27, in the LMC. Please RSVP to Mrs. Eberle at [email protected] or call 262-538-
1360 x306. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Eberle at anytime if you have any questions

We have introduced the Stop, Walk, Talk strategy to all students at Richmond this year. We encourage students to try
and solve problems on their own, but there are times when a student may need some help. Below is a visual tool that may
be helpful in working with your child to decide if a situation is truly bullying or perhaps something else. We take
bullying very seriously at Richmond but we also want to make sure that we are appropriately identifying the issue so that
we can offer the appropriate solutions.
Is It Bullying?
Joking Around “Playful Teasing”
-Everyone is having fun -No one is getting hurt -Everyone is participating equally
Conflict -No one is having fun -There is a possible solution to the disagreement -Equal balance of power
Mean Moment -Someone is being hurt on purpose -May be a reaction to a strong feeling or emotion -An isolated event (does not happen regularly)
Bullying -Someone is being hurt on purpose -Repetitive -Imbalance of power
If you have questions regarding this tool or need help with a situation your child is dealing with, don’t hesitate to contact one of the school counselors. 262-538-1360 Ms. Calarco x121 (grades JK-5) Mrs. Feiker x209 (grades 6-8)

Box Tops For Education NEWS!! Several homerooms have been very busy collecting box tops this year. The competition is getting
close. Remember, the two classrooms that collect the most box tops will win a pizza party. Currently,
the top three classrooms in JK-3rd
grade are Mrs. Dufrane with 532, Mrs. Walters with 429 and Ms.
Johnson with 293. In grades 4-8, Mr. Holzer is leading with 485; Mrs. Landis has 438; Mrs. Treu has
collected 429, and Mrs. Wohlfiel has 413. It’s a very tight race, so gather those box tops and remember
to place them in an envelope labeled with your teacher’s name and deposit them in the white bin
outside Mrs. Baacke’s room. The final day to turn in box tops is May 2. Thanks to everyone who
has contributed to this. Win that pizza party!!
Save the Date! Thursday, March 26th 3:30-4:30 at Richmond School
