7TH GRADEKeep track of your progress each week, so you get all the words
covered, and each month keep track of your score on the challenge.
Then choose 1 of these fun activities to use the words. Try not to do the same activity twice in 1 month!
1. Write a short tall tale that uses some of your spelling words.
2. Write a poem using at least 3 of your spelling words.
3. Write the letters of your words in ABC order. (For example, STUDY would be DSTUY.)
4. Write the words on a piece of graph paper so that every word intersects with another word, if possible. (Like a crossword)
5. Try to form new words by changing just one letter in each spelling word. Example: load - loaf
6. Try to form new words by adding one letter to each spelling word. (Example study - sturdy)
7. Draw a picture inspired by your spelling words.
8. Make a greeting card for a someone using some of the words.
9. Can you write a sentence that uses two, three, or four of the words?
10. Write a new song to an old tune that uses several of your spelling words.
Learn how to spell new words by reading, spelling out loud and writing.
Make spell ing fun!
Write each word twice, then fold the piece of paper and try to spell it by memory.
Look up any words you don’t know and write the definition on the back of the paper.
