Randall S. Blankenhorn Randall S. Blankenhorn was appointed Illinois Transportation Secretary by Governor Bruce Rauner in January 2015. Prior to his appointment, Blankenhorn was the Executive Director of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, leading that agency since its inception in 2006. Under his leadership, CMAP implemented GO TO 2040, the first truly compre-hensive regional plan for the Chicago metropolitan area in more than a century. Prior to that Blankenhorn worked for IDOT for 22 years in a number of key positions in both the policy and planning divisions including Bureau Chief of Urban Program Planning.

Rick D. Blasgen Rick D. Blasgen is the president and chief executive officer of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in Lombard, Illinois. CSCMP’s mission is to lead the supply chain management profession through the development and dissemination of supply chain education and research. Blasgen has held various logistics positions includ-ing Vice President Supply Chain at Nabisco, Vice President Supply Chain for Kraft in June 2002. He joined ConAgra Foods in August 2003 as Senior Vice President Integrated Lo-gistics. Blasgen is a graduate of Governors State University, earning his degree in business administration and majoring in finance.

Doreen M. DeMartino Doreen DeMartino started her career with Maersk Inc. in Customer Service and Sales before moving into Human Resources. Positions she has held include General Manager of Training and Development for Maersk Inc., Director of the Human Resources for the Op-erating Business Units (APMT, BTT , MESC) Senior Director of Operations and Employee Relations and most recently serves as Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations for Damco Distribution Services. Doreen has a Bachelor’s degree in Communica-tions from Seton Hall University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Robert Hess Robert Hess is Executive Managing Director in Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Global Corporate Services practice and is responsible for strategy development, quality assur-ance and business development for its Global Corporate Consulting (GCC). Robert was a co-founder and Consulting Partner with Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Supply Chain Business Consulting Group and Deloitte’s Fantus Location Strategies. Mr. Hess earned his BA in Economic Geography/Urban and Regional Planning, cum laude from the University of Minnesota - Duluth, and an MBA in Marketing Management from DePaul University in Chicago.

Elaine Nessle Elaine Nessle is the Executive Director of the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC), which is managed by the public affairs firm Blakey & Agnew. Found-ed in 2001, the Coalition is dedicated to the expansion and modernization of America’s freight and goods movement infrastructure. Its members include leading transportation associations, major ports, trade corridors, state and local government agencies, and indi-vidual rail, trucking, and engineering companies. Elaine graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a B.A. in journalism and mass communications.

Joseph C. Szabo Joseph C. Szabo was appointed as executive director by the Board of the Chicago Met-ropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) in June 2015. Prior to joining CMAP, Szabo had served 2009-15 as the twelfth Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) within the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT). Szabo began his public service as a zoning commission member in his native south suburban Riverdale, Illinois, where he later served as a park district commissioner, village trustee, and ultimately mayor. He holds a baccalaureate degree in Labor Relations from Governors State University.

Doug Whitley Doug Whitley was named Executive Director of Supply Chain Innovation Network of Chicago (SINC) July 2014. He serves on the Freight Advisory Committees for the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. Prior to joining SINC Whitley was President & CEO of the Illinois Chamber for 14 years where he championed public policy initiatives for transportation and infrastructure. Whitley has served as President of Ameritech Illinois, Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue and President of the Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois. Whitley is a graduate of Southern Illinois University.
