World Men’s Trivia

Q. Two Canadian teams lost to Italy in the World Curling Championships … in back-to-back years.

Name the Canadian skips, the Italian skips and the

years.

Meet Teresa Drew, Vice-Chair of Facilities

Teresa has been an active participant and volunteer in community events since her time at the University of Regina. Curling is a new sport for her, and she is still learning how to be

an “avid” curling fan. She has been pleasantly surprised by the fun and hard working curling community and volunteers, and is looking forward to being involved in another first class event.

Teresa is a partner with the consulting electrical engineering firm Ritenburg & Associates Ltd. She enjoys the

fast-paced construction industry and has been involved in many commercial, educational, and institutional projects.

Teresa volunteered for the 2001 Memorial Cup, 2005 Canada Summer Games Bid, and 2002 & 2003 Festival of

Lights. She was the VP Operations for the 2002 & 2003 CIS

Women’s Hockey Championship, VP Operations for the 2006 World U17 Hockey Championship and the Director of Construction for the 2006 Brier, and Vice Chair of Facilities for the 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Sponsor Workshop

Sponsors of the 2011 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship were invited to attend a Sponsor Workshop at the Wascana Country Club on Tuesday, October 19. The workshop gave the attendees an opportunity to learn about the benefits they’ll receive as sponsors of this world-class event and they even made some time to have a curling championship of their own. Sponsors had a great time competing in a floor curling game for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights. Congratulations to all the winners! The 2011 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship Host Committee would like to thank all of our sponsors. An event of this magnitude would not be possible without their support!
