GENERAL INFO• A stomach ulcer is an open sore that develops on

the lining of the stomach• The most common symptom is a burning pain in

abdomen• A lining of mucus (acts as a protective layer

between the stomach and acids)CAUSES• 2 main causes:

• Bacteria (Helicobacter pylori)• Drugs (Aspirin, ibuprofen and other non-

steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
