As United Methodists we share in the rich tradition of realizing the exponential opportunities for impacting the world for Jesus Christ through our connectional giving. On an annual conference level, the Advance represents our arm of intentional giving in support of emerging ministries within the AWF annual conference.

The Conference Board of Global Ministries annually receives and reviews all applications from ministries wishing to attain Conference Advance Special Status. This board reviews and recommends the missions and ministries listed in this brochure, with final approval made at the 2018 Annual Conference.

Receiving Conference Advance Special status does not guarantee financial support, only the opportunity to open channels for extra-mile giving throughout the bounds of our annual conference. The actual amount received will depend completely upon donor gifts. Extra-mile giving to any of these Conference Advance Specials should be sent to the Conference Treasurer. 100% of every Advance gift goes directly to the mission or ministry of your choice. Through our Advance giving we continue to make a positive and enduring impact on the world Christ has called us to serve.

The current guidelines and application can be found at the following link: www.awfumc.org/advance.
