NOTES TO EDUCATORS

1. The following alignment represents PLATO lessons to support study and remediation for skills on the TABE 9 10.

If your institution is utilizing this alignment on a PLATO Pathways (LAN) management system, “missing activities” may appear in some portion of your alignment.

“Missing activities” means there is courseware that you still need or has been developed recently to support this newer version of TABE 9 10. If this is the case, you should contact your local PLATO Account Manager or Curriculum Consultant for updated courseware. Once this necessary courseware is installed, you will have all lessons needed to meet this alignment, and “missing activities” will no longer appear.

2. Occasionally, in portions of this alignment, a lesson may appear that has also

appeared in other objectives. When this is the case, it is purposeful and was included in both places in order to preserve instructional consistency. Therefore, if students choose only to complete certain objectives, they can be assured that all related lessons are included.

When this is the case, instructors need to be aware that the total “completed” or “mastered” lessons in a PLATO student report may include duplicate counts because of any lessons that appear more than once. Therefore, please take this into consideration in programs where “total number of completed lessons” is part of a measure for reporting and/or grading.
