AUDITION:–similar to a job interview– actors are able to demonstrate their talents
– an opportunity for actors to meet the person hiring (director) and to leave memorable impressions of themselves
COLD READING:- Auditioning with a script that you have not had the opportunity to read before the auditionCAST:
- the group of actors who take the roles in a play (noun) - to be chosen to play a specific role in a play (verb)
MONOLOGUE:–an actor performs a work (like a story or speech) alone on stage to demonstrate his/her talents to the director
IMPROV:–to speak, or act, w/o a script, given a situation
