A Message from the President...

I hope you have had a good winter, and like me, are looking forward to

spring. I write this in spite of the fact that I had to shovel the driveway this

morning and more snow is predicted. I am hoping the Groundhog that

predicted early spring is right.

When you received your Renaissance magazine it included two inserts -

Governance Changes for RTO/ERO and Strategic Plan 2020. If you haven’t

read those inserts yet I encourage you to do so. At our last Executive Meeting we had a presentation on

Governance by Dave Kendall the Provincial 1st Vice-President and Dave Huether a Governance Committee

Member to educate us on the progress to date. Ron Poste, Bill Edwards and myself will be attending the

Presidents’ Workshop later in March to participate in further discussions. The changes have been necessitated

by the Canada Not-For-Profit Corporations Act and hopefully will make the organization stronger.

I wish to thank Mary Manion on your behalf for taking over the Communications role and welcome Sheila

Himburg to the executive and thank her for managing the Project Service to Others portfolio.
