PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The aim of the study is to analyse the attitudes and behaviour of Barcelona
citizens related to dialiy mobility, and how they will evolve in the future.
More specifically, the study will
perform a segmentation of citizens
according to their attitudes towards
mobility and other sociological
aspects, and assess the potential for
behavioural shift in each segment.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS
To which extend the new mobility concepts such as vehicle sharing, ridesharing, mobility as a service... will modify user behaviour, beyond the traditional use of private vehicles and public transport?
Which impact on mobility demand can we expect from teleworking and e-commerce?

METHODOLOGY
Interviews with experts Reference trip User Research
Interviews with 15 experts in mobility, urbanism and
sociology to understand their vision of the future of urban
mobility.
Visit to a reference city for its implementation of
innovative mobility services and models, with meetings with different stakeholders: administration, operators, research institutions, etc..
Qualitative research: in-depth interviews
Quantitative research: 3000 interviews

Definition of the strategic plan that will set public policies for the
next 5 years in Mobility and Transport.
“ NEW MOBILITY SOLUTIONS FOR BARCELONA ” Identification of
challenges for the city of Barcelona and its metropolitan area.
“ G-MOTIT ” is a European project which aims to enhance vehicle
positioning performance with the application of European satellite
navigation technology. It will be used into shared electric vehicles for a
sustainable urban mobility.
Creafutur is in charge of analyzing the vehicle sharing market,
understanding users’ needs, and define the exploitation plan for the
service expansion across Europe.
“ SMART MOBILITY / SMART USER ” For the catalan railway
cluster: innovative solutions for rail transport from user needs and
main industry trends.
