A compact but powerful CNC machineThe RX7 CNC tool and cutter grinder is a compact tool manufacturing machine. Don’t be deceived by its small footprint as it has the power, strength and working envelope usually attributed to a much larger machine.
Strength and versatility A unique mechanical concept and axes confi guration provides high machine rigidity, which is required for grinding from solid, but at the same time ensures easy operator access and high-level ergonomics.
The direct-drive bi-directional spindle allows mounting of two wheel packs giving complete unrestricted access to the work piece. With constant power of 8.2 kW (11 HP) and peak power of 19 kW (26 HP) the RX7 offers very high performance output for a CNC tool grinder in this category.
The mechanical design features of the RX7 are further complemented by the ANCA 5DX CNC, ANCA Digital Servo Drives and ANCA ToolRoom® software suite. ANCA offers application software for a variety of endmills, step tools, drills, burrs and many other special applications.

Options that make your machine even more productiveThere are numerous options available with the RX7, giving it the fl exibility to suit most applications. These include popup steady, tailstock and a range of pneumatic or hydraulic work holding systems.
Small tool manufacturingANCA offer a tooling package for the RX7 which enables it to successfully grind small tools down to Ø0.5 mm. Achieving consistent small tool geometry and tolerances requires specifi c equipment which includes:
• Linear scales for increased axis positioning.
• Laser probing for non contact tool measurement and compensation.
• Dedicated small tool precision work holding.
• Temperature controlled coolant for improved thermal stability.
• Low powered HSK spindle suited to small tools.

RoboMateThe ANCA generic Robot Loader

Versatile loading optionsThe RX7 is able to meet a variety of industry needs by providing versatile loading options.
CLX - Compact loader
This loader is designed to meet strict space & budget specifi cations. It is compact in design, mounted in the machine and does not increase the machine footprint. It offers small batch loading, enabling short periods of unmanned operation. The pallet capacity is 33 tools with Ø3 mm (1/8”) shank and 16 tools for Ø20 mm (3/4”) shank.
RoboMate
• Based around the Fanuc robot, it utilises the proven reliability and accuracy of the Fanuc 200iC robot
• RoboMate is a generic robot loader for use on most ANCA CNC tool grinders
• RoboMate is a versatile automation solution
• RoboMate provides common pallets and grippers between grinder models providing you the fl exibility to swap them between RoboMates
• The loader comes in a 2 pallet confi gu-ration as standard (with 4 as an option). It has considerable tool capacity
• The RoboMate is capable of loading tool diameters from Ø3mm (1/8”) to Ø25mm (1”)

Diverse software suiteANCA Toolroom® is the primary tool grinding application for producing most types of cutting tools such as endmills, drills, reamers and profi le tools. The fl exibility of the Toolroom® software allows easy customization to produce special programs for a diverse range of non-standard applications.

iViewiView is a precise tool measurement system developed by ANCA. It is ideal for precision grinding of profi le tools and can be quickly set up without removing the tool from the machine for profi le measurement and compensation.
CIMulator3DCIMulator3D simulates the programmed tool path exactly as it would be ground on the machine. New tool programs can be verifi ed for size, shape, machine clearances and even cycle time estimate. CIMulator3D facilitates continuous work fl ow through the machine by reducing development time and trial grinding.
