The Deering Weekly Update

 

Vol. 4, September 2, 2019. We welcome the new Lambs (9th graders) to Deering with a breakfast and a hearty hello at 7:30 am on Tuesday, September 3!   

For those of you who are new to Deering, the Weekly Update is sent every Monday to our school community parents/guardians. If you have news you'd like to share or questions about something you read here, please contact Sarah Shmitt at shmits@portlandschools.org

  Note that on the 1st Wednesday of each month, teachers will be reaching out to parents/guardians of students in their DCs to report on student progress 

Thursday, September 12 

SCHOOL PICTURE DAY 

All Day    Students will be called down for pictures alphabetically and by activity (e.g., Math Team)  

Friday, September 13 [tentative]

DEERING PTO NEWS!! 

The PTO has a new facebook page! 

LIKE Deering High School PTO!   Superintendent Xavier Botana will attend the first PTO meeting of the year on September 16, 6:00-7:30 in the DHS library.  Our third annual ice cream social on August 27th for incoming 9th graders and their families was a huge success! We'd love for you to be part of our special events!
