There was lots of religious and gothic imagery featured in the documentary such as churches, grave yards nuns and crosses

What was important to this documentary was the lighting, the lighting help distinguish the difference between the good and evil, for example the lighting got darker when filming Marilyn Manson because he was portrayed as the guilty one, however high key lighting was given when a ‘good’ profession was shown eg, the police force,

The whole doc is filmed and edited in a gothic way, even through the costume and makeup of Mansonsfans and himself. They fit the stereotypical criteria of a ‘Goth’

The graphics which are featured in the documentary are simple, clear and easy to read and understand. The font is in white so it stands out. In interviews, graphics were shown at the bottom left hand corner which depicted the interviewee’s name and their relevance to the matter. Graphics were used for translations and also at Manson’s concerts which revealed the lyrics to some of his songs. However, the title of the documentary is different because it uses a gothic, bold font which is relevant to Manson himself
