topWalk Three tops looking down on Edinburgh Length 6 miles Dogs on walk Cyrano, Dylan, Lucas, Tim, Struan, TalaidhGreat weather today. Able to clamber about in the hills in only shirt sleeves. The sun slowly climbing higher into the sky as we move well into Spring. The extra warmth from its higher trajectory bringing nourishmen t to the plant life. Small tractors on the golf course cutting the grass now growing strongly. The gorse bushes lining the early part of the path blooming with a vast number of bright yellow flowers, matching the bright yellow of the sun. On the low hillside above Swanston the resident highland cows nibbled at the scrub grass. Only looking up briefly as we passed then by and into the shadow of Caerketton Hill. Along the slowly rising path Struan set off on a run. Tim followed him and so too did Cyrano and Lucas. We climbed higher Dylan and Talaidh sniffing heavily at the grass. Dogs’ tongues beginning to drop from their mouths. A few pants in the sun’s heat. Reaching the plateau of the hills long top, other hills punched into the blue sky. A few light clouds slowly drifting on small eddies of wind. The Dog RamblerE-diary Monday 16April 2012
