Grasses also produce autumn gold colour( look out for tall

"tipa <pheasants tail=( 'ennisetum <fountain grass= andiscanthus ebrinus <ebra grass=$ Iea#e them as they areo#er winter( up to arch( for colour and a bird seed sourceand sometimes protection for smaller plants from se#ere windand frost$

*n Thursday +:th *ctober( Tatworth Good -ompanions heldtheir 3ar#est lunch and auction at ;unkeswell$ The amountof produce was amaing$ We had home made cakes( pies(5ams( chutneys( marmalades$ 3ome grown and bought#egetables and fruit in abundance along with many pottedplants$ The auction was held before lunch when 9+B0$00 wasraised for the Good -ompanions funds towards -hristmas$ Thecoach departed for a scenic trip home$ This was a #erysuccessful auction and trip( but unfortunately there was #erylow cloud that day so not many flights were taking place formembers to watch$

*n Thursday 28th *ctober Tatworth Good -ompanions held a

3alloween ystery Trip with a lunch included$ There were :2members with many participating in the fun of dressing up$The first stop was for coffee at "t 1ridgets Nursery @6eter(where we recei#ed a lo#ely reception with se#eral home madecakes to choose from to go with the coffee$ We then left forour lunch #enue which was Nutswell Iodge at Iympstonewhere all :2 members en5oyed a #ery nice car#ery lunch$!fter this lo#ely lunch we departed for the ne6t surprise whichwas a stop for afternoon tea at *tter Nurseries( arri#ing backin Tatworth at appro6imately C$pm$

Thursday +2th No#ember was the !G where 48 membersattended( with B apologies$ The morning started with theusual chat o#er a coffeetea or chocolate and biscuits$ The!G commenced with nibbles being placed on all tables as the

-hairman opened the meeting$ The -hairman thankede#eryone for attending and all committee members remarkedon how well e#eryone had worked together( and with allworking for the benefit of the club without ha#ing to beasked$ The 'resident( iss Gladys 'rince then took the -hair(welcoming e#eryone$ !s all the pre#ious committee had stooddown( Gladys asked for proposals for -hair S 1ob Goody wasproposed( seconded with all in appro#al( Treasurer S "heila1aldwin was proposed( seconded with all in appro#al("ecretary S !nne Goody was proposed( seconded with all inappro#al( Oice -hairman S ary Grinter and Oice "ecretary S3elen Johnson were both proposed( seconded with all inappro#ing$ There was then a proposal that the rest of thecommittee be #oted back on en bloc as e#eryone had worked
