New University Faculty Senate Committee on Academic Affairs The CUNY Faculty Senate (UFS) would like the FDA to recommend a few of our faculty to join a new ten-member committee that will address curriculum matters. The UFS is looking for faculty who are knowledgeable about academic affairs, academic policy, academic program, curriculum development, and related matters at their college and, if possible, at CUNY and nationally. The committee will be lead by Karen Kaplowitz (of John Jay), former UFS Vice Chair, and Phil Pecorino (of Queensborough), the former UFS Treasurer, will be the new Vice Chair. The committee will meet monthly. If you are interested in nominating yourself or a colleague, please email us at [email protected] Executive Committee Vacancy The FDA is seeking to fill an open seat on the Executive Committee, preferably with a tenured faculty member. The FDA Executive Committee meets for an hour once a month to plan FDA events and to set FDA priorities. Serving on the Executive Committee is a great opportunity to meet and work with colleagues outside of your department and to learn about an array of campus and CUNY matters.
