Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch… By Joseph Preston What a summer we've had so far! As I write, the sounds of singing, playing, laughing, and learning reverberate across these hills. I just walked up to the pond to watch the adventure team class canoeing and I could hear the outdoor skills class constructing a fort in the woods, hear the sounds of the riflery class from the ravine, and see the archery class playing archery golf. A little rain this morning moved the horsemanship classes to the indoor arena, while the pioneer crafts class continued to paint rocks and create a variety of artwork. Earlier today, I could see some campers taking a few minutes at the end of Bible Round Up to reflect quietly on what they had learned about Thomas's transforming perspective and how they could transform their own perspectives to follow Jesus. Christy's new song "Transform Your Perspective," based on the Bible Round Up theme this summer, is a big hit, with the campers quoting Jesus (very loudly!) who said, "I am the way (THE WAY!), the truth (THE TRUTH!), the life (I AM THE LIFE!)." Campers will go home this summer having experienced lots of fun, building lots of friendships, focusing on learning new skills, and developing in their faith as they proclaim that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Thank you for your support and prayers as we finish up summer camp. Rejoice with us about all that God did at camp this summer.

SANCTUARY RENOVATION

It began on Monday, June 26th and continues at the time of this writing. We are thankful for the many volunteers who helped with the “destruction” phase and now we anxiously look forward to the “reconstruction” phase! Please continue to pray, give, and volunteer if able, so that we can complete this project by Sunday, September 10th. Although the sanctuary will have a different look, it will still be a place where we, as God’s redeemed people, gather to worship our great God and experience His Holy presence!
