Gas Gas fires are a great way to help to reduce the overall fuel usage in the home. They offer an effective way of heating the space you are living in which allows the central heating to be turned down or even off. Gas fires deliver heat in two modes, radiant and convection. They do not need electricity so you have a secure option for heat in power outages or boiler breakdowns. Our Homeflame range of gas fires are amongst some of the most efficient gas fires available and will help you save on running costs while our balanced flue and radiant gas fires also offer impressive efficiencies.

HeatXchangerWhen you are buying a fire for performance you will not be able to beat our range of gas fires that include a secondary steel heat exchanger. All these fires come with a dedicated heat exchanger which means that the amount of convected heat is unsurpassed by any other fire of its kind. The flue gases are directed from the firebox into the heat exchanger and after scrubbing as much useful heat as it can the products of combustion are safely released into the flue.

Hearth & WM Can be hearth or wall mounted - ashpan is not separate

Hearth Can be hearth or wall mounted. If wall mounted the fire would require a small plinth to support the fret/ashpan which is not attached to the main fire. NB: Please note that the fires which are highlighted as ‘Hearth’ are intended for floor level installation with a back panel and hearth. If raised some of the inner workings of the fire may become more visible than intended.

† These fires are suitable for most pre-fabricated flues dependent on the flue depth and diameter. Please refer to the installation instructions to ensure that this fire is compatible.

> Inset balanced flue fires can be installed inset/semi-inset into the wall cavity with the 3” spacer, or flat against the wall with the 5” spacer.

Note: Due to the sheer number of varying flue boxes and pre-cast flues it is not possible to advise on which fires are suitable until the existing fire has been removed. If the width at the rear of the pre-cast flue starter blocks is less than 300mm wide the minimum depth of the opening will be not less than 154mm.
