“Celebrating the never ending tradition of Oregon State Ath-letics by continuing to honor its past, educate its present,

and prepare for its future; while connecting all who have

contributed to its legacy.”

In the spirit of camaraderie, Oregon State University’s Varsity OSU Association is dedicated to upholding the long tradition of athletic and academic excellence at Or-egon State. Varsity OSU serves its membership by en-hancing relationships among alumni letter-winners, cur-rent student-athletes, and current and former coaches and administrators.

The #DamWor-thIt Campaign was started last summer to bring awareness to mental health is-sues involving stu-dent-athletes. The program was spear-headed by former Oregon State gym-nast Taylor Ricci, along with current men’s soccer player Nathan Braaten.

The #DamWorthIt Campaign has already received na-tional attention including winning a Giant Steps Award from the Institute For Sport and Social Justice and receiv-ing attention from the NCAA APPLE Conference.

Initiated in 2011, Beavers without Borders is a pro-gram that offers global ser-vice-learning experiences for student-athletes at Oregon State University.

The program has success-fully completed eight service projects including trips to Gua-temala, Macedonia, Ethiopia, Costa Rica and most recently the Dominican Republic.

Throughout those trips, over 100 student-athletes were able to experience life in a distinct culture, learn about the impact of their work on a community and interact outside of the university context to maximize the intercultural ex-perience.

This year marked the second-straight year that Oregon State Athletics has sponsored two Beavers Without Bor-ders trips. In June, 12 athletes made the trip to the Domin-can Republic, with another 12 heading to Guatemala in August. The full list is below:

QUICK HITTERS: • Oregon State is 131-26 since the start of the 2014-15 season, the seventh-best record

in the nation over that span, trailing only UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland, South Carolina and Louisville.

• Sunday's loss to Arizona State snapped a streak of 12-straight Pac-12 wins for the Beavers.

• Oregon State has won eight-straight conference road games.• This marks the seventh time in program history the Beavers have started conference

play 5-1 or better, and the third time in the Pac-10/12 era. • The Beavers lead the nation in 3-point percentage, and have hit at least eight 3-point-

ers in 12 of their last 14 games.• Oregon State has won nine-straight true road games, including their seven road wins

to end the 2017-18 season.• The Beavers have held opponents to 25.2 percent shooting from 3-point range over

their last eight games.• Oregon State has only lost back-to-back games once since the start of the 2014-15

season, with those defeats coming to USC and UCLA on Jan. 5 and 7 of 2018.• The Beavers currently sit alongside Baylor and UConn as the only teams in the top-20

nationally in both field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense.• OSU went 25-8 in calendar year 2018.• Oregon State set the Pac-12 record for rebounding margin in consecutive games last

month. The Beavers posted a +47 showing Dec. 9 vs. Santa Clara, a little over a week after winning the rebounding battle vs. La Salle by 46.

• The Beavers are one of nine teams in the nation to make the Sweet 16 in each of the last three seasons, joining UConn, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Baylor, Stanford, Tex-as, UCLA and Mississippi State.

• Oregon State has made the NCAA Tournament five-straight seasons, and has 11 NCAA Tournament wins over that span.

• The Beavers' four highest win totals have all come over the last four seasons (27 in 2014-15, 32 in 2015-16, 31 in 2016-17, 26 in 2017-18).

• The Beavers have been ranked in every USA Today/WBCA Coaches' poll, dating back to the 2013-14 postseason rankings. Oregon State is one of six teams in the nation to be ranked every week over that period, joining UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland and South Carolina.

• Oregon State moved up a spot to No. 9 in the AP Poll this week• OSU's highest ever ranking came at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, when the Bea-

vers came in at No. 2.• OSU has led the Pac-12 in defensive field goal percentage for five-straight seasons,

and is first the league in the category so far this season• The Beavers have earned nine wins over top-10 opponents since the start of 2014-15.• The Beavers have not lost three-straight games since falling to Notre Dame, California

and Stanford from Dec. 29 2013 to Jan. 5, 2014.• Oregon State is one of seven teams to have four players selected over the course of

the last three WNBA Drafts, and is one of two programs to have players picked in the first round of the last two drafts.

• Oregon State posted a perfect Academic Progress Rate of 1,000 over the last ratings period. The Beavers have had a perfect APR over the last three years, joining Stanford as the only teams in the conference to accomplish that feat.
