Background info
-The great depression was a time period after world war II in which the economy was passing through some serious trouble.
Background info
- The president of the United States at this time was Herbert Clark until 1933, Franklin Roosevelt took office after.-The great depression lasted from 1920 - 1939.
Causes of the great depression
-Banks were betting that the stock market prices will rise,(Bank used deposits/savings from their users).-Stock market crash-American add high tariffs on imported goods from Europe
New deal & Second new deal
- The president during the "new deal" was Franklin Roosevelt.-The "New deal" was a series of economical programs to put the economy "back together".-The "second new deal" was the second phase of the "new deal", the government gave more aid to the people (for example Social security act).
Effect on people
The great depression left people:-Homeless. -Unemploy. -depressed. -Lost of all of their valuables.-Business shut down.
