Membership Update
It has been my privilege to serve as Membership Chair the last 3 seasons One insight this position has offered me is
noticing the energy and enthusiasm new member families bring to our already great Club Please welcome the following
new members to the Silver Springs Family Mary Kennedy Mark Zimmerman Randy Chappell Scott Smith Dan Smith
and Brad Kane
We would also like to thank our members who have previously sponsored new members These ambassadors for Silver
Springs not only assist in the renewal of our Club but are able to take advantage of our Member Referral Bonus Program
For each new member you sponsor Silver Springs will credit your account with $1000 towards food and beverage or Pro
Shop purchases when your candidate assumes a full share with the Club
We would encourage you to forward our New Member Brochure to friends and family you think would make a great
addition to our Silver Springs family Highlights of membership at Silver Springs include
One share purchase provides for spousal play as well as categories for all children up to the age of 30
Reduced initiation fees through our Intermediate Membership share purchase category which allows for family
continuity in your club
A fantastic Junior program supervised by our enthusiastic Professional staff
State of the art teaching tools and a newly upgraded range facility and a spectacular clubhouse with class leading food
and beverage
Intermediate Package
Maximum age raised from 28 to 30 years old
$0 initiation fee
Payment can be annual lump or paid monthly
Share price is ldquolocked-inrdquo at the time when the Intermediate joins the waitlist
Previously members would pay the market price of a share when the share is offered ie Share price can
increase while someone is on the waitlist Intermediates converting to Shareholders will not be subject to these
increases They will pay the price that the Share was when they joined the waitlist
Welcome Back package This package is exclusive to children of current shareholders
Only available to children of current members Maximum age for children is 40 years old
$0 initiation fee
Share Price is locked-in at the time the new member joins the waitlist (same principles as described above)
New members join the waitlist and are subject to the existing rules and policies governing waitlist playing
privileges
A strong and healthy waitlist of members remains the lifeblood of our club and essential for the facilitation of the share
transfer process I am confident that these two incentives added to our already strong member incentive program will
support our membership growth and will allow Silver Springs to build upon our strong history and family centric culture
With this in mind I would encourage you share and discuss these packages with members of your families that might be
interested in becoming part of Silver Springs Please feel free to share this email and the attached link to our membership
brochure with friends and family
These are just a few of the things we have to offer so letrsquos all work together to make 2013 another banner year at Silver
Springs
Thank you and best wishes for a great Easter weekend and golfing season

Silver Swing Tips
THE IMPORTANCE OF STRETCHING BEFORE PLAYING
Golf despite what some of us would like to believe is an athletic movement and as such itrsquos extremely important
that the muscles we use be sufficiently warmed up and ready for action when called upon Especially considering
what the temperatures can be like at this time of the year warming up your body becomes even more important
Two areas that are of great importance are the shoulders and hips Both these spots need specific work before
hitting the range andor course To get the shoulders moving try simply holding a club in one hand and swinging
it in large full circles with your arm straight like a propeller First on your side and then across the front of your
body Do the same with the other arm
Because the golf swing is a ldquorotationalrdquo game loosening up the hips will allow for a better turn A great exercise
to ldquoopenrdquo the hips is to balance on your right leg lift your left ankle and place it on your right knee while going
into a sitting position Use your club in your right hand for support and push down on your left knee for an extra
stretch You should feel this in your left hip Switch legs and repeat
These are two easy and effective ways to get the blood flowing before you hit the rangecourse and diminish the
chances of pulling something other than your tee shot
