For Further Information…
EQRS System Design
• A philosophy that all products and services should be designed with people’s needs, motivations, and limitations in mind
• An intentional process in which the needs, motivations, and limitations of the people using a product or service are considered
8
What is Human-Centered Design
This iterative process is used when implementing Human-Centered Design.
9
Human-Centered Design Process
User Personas are created to promote empathy for the end user.
10
User Personas
Information gathered from end users, is utilized to define the design direction.
11
Human-Centered Design Process: Define
• Top tasks are a small set of tasks (usually less than 5) that matter most to the people using a system.
• Helping people successfully complete these key tasks is our most important job.
12
Top Tasks
Understanding the task context informs how the system is designed.
13
Task Context
What are the top tasks that you need to complete in CROWNWeb?
In the poll area, please list the top 3 tasks.
14
Poll Question
After empathy and definition, design concepts are drafted.
15
Human-Centered Design Process: Ideate
Clickable prototypes are created from draft designs.
16
Human-Centered Design Process: Prototype
End users provide valuable feedback to improve system design.
17
Human-Centered Design Process: Test
Work In Progress
• The following slides contain text that is currently in CROWNWeb and text that is being proposed for system design.
• Please think about the language and how it reads on the page, not necessarily how it “looks.”

Poll Question: Clinical Depression Wording
Option A: Current Language

What Happens Next?
• We will continue our Human-Centered Design process, to develop EQRS with user feedback.
