ActivitiesMountain Lakes Park offers the total outdoor experi-ence including camping, fishing, ice skating, hiking, na-ture exploration, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing,boating and a high/low ropes challenge course.
BoatingRow boat rentals are available on Hemlock Lake week-ends only Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day, byappointment only. Call park office for information.
Team BuildingIn addition to group camping, there is a ropes challengecourse (reservations required) for organized groups. Thecourse includes a zip line, high and low ropes elementsthat accommodate people of all abilities. The elementsfoster teamwork through challenging situations in asafe and a fun environment.

The 1,082 acre Sal J. Prezioso MountainLakes Park is Westchester’s northern-most county park. Acquired by thecounty in 1961, it is characterized by arugged landscape and native hardwoodforests, rock outcroppings, meanderingstreams, beautiful views, the highestmountain in Westchester County andquiet trails. Aptly named, the parkboasts five lakes and a spectacularoverlook which makes for breathtakinghiking destinations.
Events Do you need a place for a party, wedding reception orother social gathering, or for your school group, organi-zation or company? The spacious and newly renovateddining hall is available for use by organized groups, ac-commodating up to 250 people. The commercialkitchen is available for use only with a licensed caterer.If you are looking for an even bigger adventure, rentthe yurt village for an overnight and an experience yourgroup will always remember.
Camping• Available year-round in open-face lean-tos. Sleepingcapacity is limited to eight people per shelter with theexception of two sites that can accommodate 16 peo-ple. Each shelter has an outside grill for cooking, a des-ignated fire ring for campfires, a picnic table andportable toilets. (In July - Saturday nights only)
• Individual yurts, our entire yurt village or our camp di-rector’s cabin can be rented daily or weekly from Me-morial Day weekend through June and mid-Augustthrough Columbus Day weekend each year. Yurts canaccommodate 10 people and the director’s cabin canaccommodate four. The yurts provide sleeping quarterswith electricity and a newly renovated, centrally locatedbathhouse. The director’s cabin offers full amenities, ex-cluding linens, towels, toiletries and food. The yurts anddirector’s cabin are not heated.
• Want to stay in the outdoors, but want all of theamenities of home? Laurel Cottage, located on beauti-ful Laurel Lake, is available year-round and can sleepfour comfortably (six maximum). The cottage is heatedand has an indoor wood burning stove, an outside firering for campfires, picnic tables, screened-in porch,deck and a row boat.
Camping permits, available to adults age 21 and older,are required and issued at the park office.

Overnight use of lean-to sites, Dining hall and YurtVillage are from 11 a.m. to 11 a.m. Laurel Cottageand Directors Cabin are from 1 p.m. to 11 a.m. Cashand checks accepted. Credit cards are accepted foryurt village and the Dining hall only.

Camp MortyTakes place each July through mid August and
offers a quality outdoor sleepaway camp experience for children who are under the care
of the Department of Social Services. Emphasis isplaced on environmental awareness and sustainable living in a cooperative setting.
Rules and Regulations• Park closes at dusk except to registered
permit holders.
• Alcohol is prohibited.
• Dogs must be leashed and curbed at all times.
• Bikes are prohibited on trails.
• A carry-in/out policy is in effect for garbage.
• Only kiln-dried firewood allowed into park.
• Swimming prohibited.
