Ships and Crew
Drake’s ship was named the Golden Hind. Drake was the first English man to sail a boat around the world and his first boat was called the Golden Hind.
There would be about 35 to 40 people on board at a time.
Supplies
They would take wood, coal, candles, wax, lanterns, platters, tankards, leather, dishes, bowls, buckets, scoops, taper candles, shovels, compasses, lamps, water casks, hoops of iron.

The Golden Hind
Drake set off to Southern Mexico. With lots of booty, he had twenty-six tons of silver in 1579. He was sailing on the leaking Golden Hind. They landed in America and stayed for five weeks to repair the Golden Hind. Drake arrived triumphantly in England in 1580, after three years on his voyage.
