A Message From Orange High School Principal Dr. Paul Lucas
As another year draws to a quick close, I would just like to extend congratulations to the members of the Class of 2015. They are now on Senior Project and will soon be walking across the stage at the Connor Palace Theatre to accept their diplomas. Each of the students should be proud of their accomplishment and their dedication over the past four years at Orange High School.
The 2015 Prom and After-Prom was an amazing success, thanks in large part to the Junior class officers, Junior Class advisers (Emily Hazzard and Sandy Drvenkar) and the OHS PTA. For the first time, students were treated to an After-Prom experience that took place off campus. The event at the Corner Alley on East 4th Street was an overwhelming success and hopefully is the start of some new Prom traditions!
The 2014/2015 school year seems to have gone by so quickly, and has been filled with student accomplishments. I look forward to next school year and all of the new possibilities that are sure to come. As always, please keep the line of communication open and do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
Enjoy the last few weeks of school!

Orange High School’s LION’S DEN
A message from OHS PTA President Susie Blake On behalf of the OHS PTA board, congratulations to the Class of 2015 and their families. It has been a great year for me learning the ins and outs of what goes on at the high school.
The OHS PTA is as strong its membership. We become stronger with your support. Next year we will host two evening meetings; one in the Fall, October 21st, and one in the Spring, March 15th. Our regular monthly OHS PTA meets the first Wednesday of every month at 9 a.m. in the media center. Everyone is welcome to attend. I hope you will plan to attend as often as you are able. Join us in helping strengthen our PTA with your involvement.
This year, the PTA contributed $23,350 towards classroom enhancements, special programs, teacher/student scholarships, After Prom, student clubs, Health & Safety, and class fundraising just to name a few. We have given 100s of hours of time this year on behalf of the OHS PTA. Thank you to all those who have joined the PTA which helps us support our fundraisers, programs, students and teachers.
A special thank you needs to go to Melanie Gotleib and Virginia Lester, along with their hardworking committee, who put together a sensational After Prom at the Corner Alley Bowling Alley downtown. They were very creative and brought a special change to the After Prom this year. The kids loved it!
In addition to After Prom, our volunteers have been busy with many year end activities including Senior Lunch, Spring Plant Sale, Senior Awards, Senior Project, Teacher Scholarships, Student Scholarship, Staff Appreciation Week, Summer Reading Book Fair, Commencement Reception, Year End District Breakfast, Black Book, etc.
Please consider getting involved next year. If there is something that is of interest or if you have ideas to help us this coming year, please call me and let’s find a way to make it work. I am excited to get planning for the upcoming school year. Have a great summer and I look forward to working with you to build on what we have next year.
Thank you for your continued support of OHS PTA!
