Weekly Focus on Missions

World Missions: Larry Brown has been a partner in ministry for many years and is a former member of Second. Most people have heard about the incredible numbers coming out of Africa — that there are more than 400 million Christians there and about 26,000 new believers coming to Christ every day. Africa is experiencing one of the most magnificent Christian movements in the history of the church. Larry has taught at African Bible College for over fifteen years with his primary mission being to train pastors and church leaders to shepherd the people of Africa and the rapidly growing church. Larry’s son, Carey, is doing well in school and is on the swim team. Larry asks that Second continue to pray for the men and women trained to make a difference in Africa and for a resolution to the economic distress, particularly the fuel crisis.Mission Memphis: Please pray for the Campus Outreach National Conference at the end of December — that God will use it to change hearts and move people forward in their relationship with Him.
