  • Good fighter thumbnails:Trying different poses and positions. The idea was tohave her in a forest setting.

  • Costumes and props:Tried out different clothing as well as different types of wings.

  • Anatomy:Worked on different weapons and wings which I later changed my mind and did not include.

  • Final pose:Finally decided on a final pose and took it to the computer from here on.

  • Background:The character was designed to be in a forest setting.So heres how the forest came to be.

  • Digital process:Started the process by tracingover the scanned sketch. Next,the skin, shading and clothing were added.

  • Sidekick Thumbnails:An owl was chosen for the sidekick to go along with the good fighter. The idea behind the owl is that hes a companion who stays with her at all times and is able to tell the future. Hes able to guide her when to be aware of the enemies.

  • Final pose:This pose was chosen because it would fit with him sitting on the tree limb but looking intense at the same time.

  • Digital process:To keep the same feel of the atmosphere, a zoomed in version of the same forest was used. A tree limb was added to place the owl. Scanned in the sketch and started developing the owl.

  • Tried out different lighting effects. Also decided to elongate the tale and the ears to make it more dramatic.
