“But by the grace of God I am what I am and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” I Corinthians 15:10
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
Grace is God’s unmerited favor given to us. Even though we are sinners that are so short of God’s glory, His grace offers us forgiveness through Christ. His grace provides the abundant life, the Christ life. His grace grants us the privilege of His presence and relationship through Christ our savior. His grace awards us the promise of eternal life in heaven with Him. His grace is amazing!
And yet, God’s grace is a gift that we don’t deserve. His grace is a present that we cannot earn. His grace is a reward that we cannot work for. His grace is an ability that we don’t naturally possess. His grace is a skill that we must exercise. His grace is an endowment that we must preserve and pass on to others.
In almost every New Testament book and especially the epistles, we will find similar expressions of salutation that include “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Every reader is reminded of this amazing grace that we are so fortunate to have received but also a reminder that we are to live in His grace and find ways of expressing His grace to others.
Now, more than any other time in my lifetime, I believe we need to be agents of God’s grace in this world. God’s grace is easily enjoyed internally but how often do we exercise God’s grace in our relationships externally with others? How often do we express God’s grace with those that have a different opinion? How often do we offer God’s grace to others that we do not agree?
Do you wear a mask or don’t wear a mask – God’s grace. Do you stay at home or get out with others – God’s grace. Do I go back to church or continue to watch church on-line – God’s grace.
When someone doesn’t agree with your opinion, exercise God’s grace. When you hear a different political persuasion, offer God’s grace. When you’re confronted by unloving attitudes, express God’s grace. When the world acts then react with God’s grace.
Now, more than ever before, we who have received and accepted God’s grace ought to be the agents of His grace to those who need God’s grace in their lives. Be a “Grace Giver,”

Whatever ways you and your WMU/Missions group choose to serve during this uncharted territory of
Covid-19, serve with as much gusto as possible. We have the “dreadful virus”, the protests, and we know
according to scripture that Satan is on the prowl trying to devour, BUT we know that we serve a God that
is ALL-KNOWING, ALL-POWERFUL, AND LOVES EACH OF US with a love we can hardly touch the surface
of knowing!!! He LOVES us with such love to send His son to die for us, He proves that LOVE over and
over; so as times seem dark and dreary with such uncertainties, KEEP YOUR EYES FIXED ON HIM!!!
If we find ourselves afraid of the future, eternity, or God’s judgement, we can simply remind ourselves of
God’s love for us. We know He loves us, and we can be certain He can take our fears away if we focus on
His immeasurable love for each of us. Allow Him to love others through us. His love will definitely quiet
our fears and give us peace, if we focus on His love for us. How can we do this? Show His love to others!
We know love starts with Him, and his love fills us though the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus as our
Lord and Savior, then this love will overflow to others. Think of others before ourselves and we will soon
find we have no time for uncertainties or fear in our lives. Live like we know Him-if we are His- then He
abides in us-so let’s live like it.

Meal & More Box 2020– a complete Christmas meal for one
student’s family per Cumberland County school. The guid-
ance counselor from each of the 9 elementary and 3 high
schools, will determine a student in need for each of box.

PLEASE pray for wisdom, and discernment for the TBMB staff, the WMU staff, Executive Board, our pastors and church staff, that God will be glorified in all the hard decisions that weigh so heavy on their shoulders at this time. Pray we the church will use this time to share the Gos-pel with the world through our words and actions. May we be the church in this dark time.
