FunctionsThe muscular system has many functions that help us in every day life. The muscular system controls motor skills

and fine motor skills. It controls movement, maintain posture, joint stability, heat production, communication,

and the movement of organs such as the small and large intestines. When you throw up the diaphragm and smooth

muscles around the stomach contract. An unhealthy behavior for the muscle system would be spasms and

twitches. You can hurt your muscles while working out and in sports. A common injury while working out and playing

sports would be pulling a muscle.

SteroidsOne drug that effect the

muscle system is steroids. Steroids are legal when

prescribed for rehabilitation of the muscles. This drug

helps increase muscle mass and is commonly illegally

There are three different types of muscles. Smooth, cardiac, and skeletal. Smooth muscles are

involuntary and work without you trying. Smooth muscles help you digest food and vomit. They are

found inside the walls of the intestines, stomach, and bladder.
