The New Smart
By Ann Zuccardy
Do you think you are smart?
Smart means….
Is smart defined by the people you know?
Is smart measured by the knowledge you have acquired?
Perhaps it’s time to rethink SMART…
Meet Ann ZuccardyAuthor-Speaker-Creative Communicator
Ann had read a lot of books to gain knowledge
Ann knew tons of people and tons of people knew who she was
Then Ann’s world changed when she fell in a German bathtub…
Ann suffered a concussion (known as a mild brain trauma injury)
and that meant…
~she couldn’t do things like she did~the knowledge she had couldn’t help her “fix” this
~the amount of people she knew couldn’t change what happened
SO WHAT DID ANN DO?
With no protocol for her injury
• She founded a local brain injury support group
• She discovered ways for her to LIVE WITH her injury
• She became an advocate for those who have mTBI

The NEW Smart
