The name change has long been on the horizon and is now moving forward as NFCC expects to become a baccalaureate level granting institution in 2017 with the addition of a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. The State Board of Education unanimously approved NFCC’s plans to begin the BSN, the College’s first baccalaureate level program, in September. Classes are expected to begin in August. “As we leave the community college badge behind and evolve into the next stage of our existence as a baccalaureate granting institution, we will be doing many exciting things,” said Grosskopf. “We look forward to this growth and evolution that will meet the specific needs of our district and workforce. NFCC’s mission and commitment to community will not change. We will continue to be your college, responsive to your needs, and an open door to education and opportunity for the North Florida area.” More Info NFCC Honors 2016-2017 Student Government Association North Florida Community College honored its Student Government Association (SGA) Executive Board for outstanding service and leadership on Nov. 14 during the 2016 SGA Inauguration of Officers ceremony in the NFCC Student Center.
