MARITIME PAINTING BY SABASaba came to the Cayman Islands in 1992 to teach and initially began painting as a hobby until he received second prize in the CINM competition Wreck of the Ten Sails (1993). Career highlights include: first prize in the VAS competition Dra-matic Light in Artwork (1998); and Artist of the Year nomination by What’s Hot magazine (2002). Key exhibitions include Art Miami with the Kensington-Lott Fine Art Gallery (2003); Carib Art (1995); Wreck of the Ten Sails at the CINM (1994); and All Access (2015) at NGCI. Saba is represented by the Kennedy Gallery in Grand Cayman. His work is found in the permanent collections of the NGCI and CINM.
