The Nocturne Legacy

Chapter 1.0

Page 2: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Welcome the the Nocturne Legacy, where fun and excitement is sure to abound…maybe. Anyway, this is going to be the legacy where I attempt to make it a perfect scored legacy, minus doing handicaps. That isn’t going to be a thing. In order to get a max amount of points I’m going to attempt to start the family business, and the greek house within college. I can’t promise plot in this but who knows.

Page 3: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Meet Myde Nocturne, average college student surfer dude by day, kickass rockstar by night (at least in his dreams). Myde is a really neat guy who can take or leave people, despite enjoying popularity, if he had his way he would sleep all day and play a guitar all night. He doesn’t mind a prank or two, especially if he’s the one playing the pranks because he’s not exactly the nicest of people. Myde prefers his ladies like he prefers his guitar, made up and blasting some tunes, but facial hair is definitely not part of that equation.

Right now, he’s entertaining dreams of having five top-level businesses but like all things that are as changing as the sea, that is subject to change.

Page 4: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Myde, psst. Hey you should really go with Literature. I see you eying the Econ major, don’t do it. Trust me.

“Huh? Who said that? Who’s there?” The confused college student said, looking around before frowning and clicking on the Literature major. “I’m not sure who said what, or if I’m just hearing things but at least with literature, I’ll be able to write for my songs in my spare time, and get some chill ideas.

Yes! Good boy, by the way, I’m digging your hairdo dude. The faux hawk is a good look for you and I think the person I named you for would agree with me.

“Okay, that’s freaky, there’s a disembodied voice talking in my ear and I don’t like it.”

Most don’t. You’ll get used to it. Just call me Jynx or Jen, I’m not disembodied, I’m just not physically present.

“I’m disliking this already.”

Page 5: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

After picking his major, the new college student picked his room, a cozy space on the first floor, that was right near the mess hall for easy access. His laziness was showing through.

Page 6: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

So began the epic skilling session for Myde. Reading books to improve his mechanical skills to tune his musical instruments, painting to inspire himself to create better songs, and chess, it create more logic within himself.

Page 7: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“So yeah, there’s this really annoying voice that only I can hear. It’s kind of freaky and I really want it to go away. Is there a shrink you can recommend Virginia?”

“…Annoying voice in your head huh? Sure it’s not your own? Because that might just be your subconscious. Or alternatively, it might be the fact that you’re a legacy founder and that’s the creator of your legacy.” She said with a shrug.

“I was afraid you might say that.”

Page 8: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Myde sighed to himself as hot water poured down onto his face from the showerhead. So he was a legacy founder, guess that meant that he’d have to figure out something with a girlfriend and eventually a wife.

No one in particular had caught his eye yet, admittedly he did have a crush on a girl named Debbie, but that was a passing thing. Sure he was young still but he didn’t want to be one of those people who waited until they were so old they could barely function before they found someone to settle down with.

Page 9: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“Hey…uh…Jynx? Do you really think it was a good idea to make me into the founder for some legacy dealie? I mean what makes you think I’m cut out for this? All I want to do is just make some friends and run a damned good business. I don’t even know if I wanna have kids or get married.”

Oh Myde…You’ll get to open a business, I promise. And as for the kids and everything that comes before, you’ll find someone you can’t live without. I don’t know when or where she/he is but there’ll be someone.

“I hope you’re right.”

Page 10: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“See, this is why I say I’m not cut out for this shit. I need to have some fun!! And all that legacy stuff doesn’t sound fun at all. Growing up and dying doesn’t seem like part of my agenda, and I really don’t want it to be.”

Myde, chill. Just…go dance in front of the radio and relax, okay? You’ll get your fun up and you’ll see that everything is going to be okay.

Page 11: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

((Okay, really the only reason I included this picture is because the amount happy I am that after not having sims making great faces like this while

dancing. Sims 3 dancing is nice and all, but it’s never going to be as good as it was in Sims 2))

Page 12: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

As his first year passed by, Myde worked hard to ensure that he maintained a 4.0 gap as well as looking for a way to open a business soon. There was only one way to do it that he could see.

Page 13: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

pft… So…kitchen duty huh?

“Not. A. Word.” Myde muttered under his breath as he dished out macaroni and cheese. “I don’t want to hear it. If you’ve got a better idea let’s hear it.”

Well…

Page 14: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“This was your great idea? Digging a hole to fucking China? I think I was better off being on kitchen duty.” Myde huffed as he dug deeper.

You’ll see why I think this is a better way to get your money.

Page 15: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

With his first year of college under his belt, Myde felt a little more confident in himself. He knew what he was doing and he could easily do what he wanted to do.

Page 16: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“So, as you can see, I have excellent equipment for sale here. The best stringed instruments you can possibly find. I know it might be hard to believe, coming from someone as young as myself, but I can assure you you’ll find no better deal on such instruments.” Myde began with a pleasant smile on his face, looking himself up and down in the mirror.

Page 17: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Little ’n’ local? Isn’t that going to be a bit small for your lofty ideals?

“Nah, I can expand it to where I like it, and besides it’s not how big the lot or building is, it’s how well I can sell my merchandise.”

Page 18: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“Now, time to find my own place, so I can start a greek house.” He said, his eyes going to the empty plot of land next to the Tri-vars. “Yeah, I think that’ll do very nicely.”

Page 19: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Living accommodations and business settled, he made his way over to it, and started working on selling his musical instruments, at least until his eye was caught by a woman named Robin Wilsonoff. In his eyes, there was perfection personified in her.

Page 20: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Probably should have done this when you first got here but yeah, pose with your new business for posterity’s sake.

“Uh…All righty then, how’s this! Ta-daaa~”

Page 21: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

It wasn’t long before he invited Robin over for a date when his business was closed so they could spend some quality time together, without interruption from dealing with customers, as they had done before which led to the date even being possible.

By the second date, he was almost certain that he was in love with this wonderful woman, and he knew she loved him too. He couldn’t explain how he knew the latter, but he just did.

Page 22: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Welcome to your new greek house Myde! This is where you’re going to spend the rest of your college career. It’s not very large yet, but it’ll do.

“No, no, I like it! It seems like a wonderful place to live.”

It’s bad when I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic.

“Doesn’t that just suck? But it wasn’t sarcasm.” He promised as he headed inside.

Page 23: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

It wasn’t long after that that Myde and Robin fell into bed together after another wonderful date, that made him even more certain that he could wake up next to this woman for the rest of his life.

Page 24: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Pleasure Myde? Really? I guess that still kind of makes sense for you to be. And at least you’ve got a completely doable, non-cheat on your girlfriend life time want.

“Eheh, yeah right. I wouldn’t do that, I’m not a heartless monster after all. I love Robin too much for that.”

Page 25: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

So Ratna pledged to the greek house and yeah nothing much really happened there. He cleaned and helped Myde out by doing his term papers.

Page 26: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Congratulations Ratna! Welcome to Alpha Phi Omega Greek life!

“Thanks! Oh hey, I can hear you clearly now.” The new member greeted, and to his credit, only glancing around briefly. “So you’re the voice that he always talked about on the phone. What do I call ya?”

Jynx or Jen.

“Jynx it is.”

Page 27: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Nicely done you two. The paintings look great…a little dark, but we can fix that at some point later by having someone copy’em.

“Thanks Jynx!” Myde grinned widely as he tilted his head up to look at the two portraits. “I think we did a damned good job. It does help that we were able to fund the greek house up pretty nicely with my business.”

Yes it does. But still…I need to fix the lighting in the house when your kids come Myde.

Page 28: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“Hey uh…Jynx, are you there? Do you mind getting them out of here? It’s kind of really uncomfortable in here.”

Huh? What are you talking about?

Page 29: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Oh! Oh shit, sorry Ratna. I’ll take care of it.

“Thank you. They’ve been at this for hours. And It’s really kind of…yech.” The knowledge sim muttered and ducked out of the room quickly.

Future note for you two Myde, try to keep the PDA to rooms where people who are uncomfortable with this kind of thing aren’t going to have their eyes burned by it.

Page 30: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Last term paper?

“Last one done and done.” He said with a relieved sigh, “I’m finally done with all my assignments. Does this mean I’ll be able to see my girlfriend soon?”

You kind of have to if you want to get married to her don’t you?

“Who said I want to get married? I don’t. I just want to have fun.”

….You’re getting married. I can make your life very unpleasant Nocturne. You don’t really want to cross your maker.

Page 31: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Uh…I guess you managed to host both a cow mascot and a llama at the same time? Just a guess.

“Yeah, this little asshole from the Strangeville cows made his way over and tried to fuck with me, but my llama guy had my back.” Myde nodded before continuing to boo the cow mascot.

Page 32: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Last one?

“Last one. After this am I rid of you?”

HAHAHAHAHAH. No. You and your descendants are stuck with me until there’s some pressing matter else where that requires me to leave.

“Damn. Can’t blame a guy for trying though can you?”

Page 33: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Congratulations Myde, you’ve made it through college without too much trauma.

“Thanks! And it feels great that I’m alive and breathing despite the death trap you put me in how many times?” The founder said with a false grin as cheered for himself.

Hey it made you happy and kept your mood in the green whenever you were about to pass out or crap yourself, didn’t it?

“All right, all right, you win.”

Page 34: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Oh good grief. Couples…Ugh…can’t you two do that some place else? Or wait until I’ve got someone else I want to follow, like a toddler.

“Tough, I haven’t gotten to see my girlfriend in a while. Besides, if you want a toddler wandering around then you have to deal with this.” Myde hissed at the voice before going back to smooching his girlfriend

…Proceed then…

“Heheh…Myde 1 Jynx 0.”

We’re not doing that counter crap. You’re not part of the legacy that keeps that kind of score,

“Fine, fine. I’ll just continue my smooching.”

Page 35: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“There’s a very big reason I called you and asked if we could go out to dinner tonight…Aside from the fact that I wanted to celebrate that I graduated Summa Cum Laude.” Myde began nervously, his hand wrapped around a small black box

“You’re kidding? Congrats on that! What’s the other reason?”

“Well…I’ve got a question for you…” He continued swallowing hard.

Page 36: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“Will you marry me Robin?:” Those five words were met with a covered mouth and wide eyes, that looked from the velvet box in front of her to the man who had set it there and back again.

Page 37: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“OH MY GOD! YES! YES!” Robin’s voice became shrill as she bounced up and down in her chair, her eyes alight with joy. “I WILL!”

Relief couldn’t be more visible in Myde’s eyes as he let go of a breath he hadn’t been aware he’d been holding.

If the two of them hadn’t been sitting in a both, she almost certainly would have tackled him.

Page 38: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“Oh My…its beautiful.” Robin sighed elatedly looking at the diamond ring on her finger in awe. “I can’t believe we’re going to be married soon.”

“I can’t either, My day to come home to Pleasantview can’t come fast enough.” Myde agreed with her, his eyes drawn to her beaming face.

Page 39: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

Damn, the two instruments were too far apart to actually get a good picture of the two of you playing together, but yeah, you two sound good as a band…even though everyone seems to be congregating at your part My.

“Psh, it’s probably because I’m graduating and they think I need the money.” He chuckled

Page 40: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“All right here I go, Have I mentioned that growing up feels kinda weird?” Myde asked of no one as he felt a growing sensation in his knees that extended to his full body.

Page 41: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

I…I’m impressed. You didn’t disappoint with strange clothes. But if we can’t get you changed right away, I’m completely fine with leaving you in that outfit.

“Yeah?” He asked with a chuckle. “I kind of don’t mind these, even if the poofy vest is a bit much.”

Its not that bad, besides it suits you for some reason.

Page 42: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“See ya My, don’t have too much fun without me and have lots of kids.” Ratna chimed in, thinking for a moment before adding. “Make sure at least one’s a girl that I can potentially date.”

Myde could be heard sputtering with laughter as he climbed into the taxi waiting for him.

That was mean Ratna, besides that do you even want to get married or date anyone?

“Probably not. Hey can I become a vampire? You know, after Myde’s kids get here?”

…We’ll talk.

Page 43: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

“You know something Jynx, I think I’m gonna miss college. All the parties, just hanging out with my buddy, but it’ll be fun being an adult too and

having kids.” Myde murmured as he looked nostalgically at the greek house

Heh…yeah…you’ll be back before you know it when your own kids are graduating. Just don’t grow up too fast on me all right? I’m getting kind of

attached to you.

“Awww, you do have a heart.”

You have no idea how badly I want to smack you for that quote. But you’re cute, so you can get away with it.

Page 44: The Nocturne Legacy, Generation 1: College years

So time for the round up of stats, this time around I’m going to only be doing the founder, next time it’s his future wife and possibly any nooboos that come along as well.
