DESCRIPTION

The blockage of the fallopian tube is considered one of the key reasons why some women are unable to give birth or conceive children on their own. However, thanks to modern advances in technology, there is now hope for parents via fallopian tube blockage treatment. The blockages to these two thin tubes, one on each side of the uterus, which help lead the mature egg from the ovaries to the uterus are usually a result of scar tissue build-up or pelvic adhesions caused by Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Once a diagnosis is made, appropriate fallopian tube blockage treatment options can be considered. One of the treatment options available is laparoscopic surgery which is used when a small amount of scar tissue is causing blockages. However, success rates are low for this type of treatment at 20-40%. Some clinics offer a pioneering fallopian tube blockage treatment called Trans Cervical Tubal Catheterisation or TCTC. This easy and low-risk treatment option is considered to be highly effective with success rates as high as 90% or more in some women. It is also much less expensive and non-invasive as compared to treatments, making it a very attractive option.
