The PHOENIX  -  in Greek mythology it symbolized resurrection and rebirth while ancient Egyptian and Chinese myths associated it with the Sun God.  Legend has it that the Phoenix is reborn every five hundred years, by perishing in a colorful display of fire, with a new Phoenix rising from the ashes.  The flames remove all sins of the past and purify to begin life anew.  A symbol used throughout history, the rejuvenation of this mythical firebird reflects the continued renaissance of humanity.
