The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but

they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them.

The aim of this presentation

is to protect the young

generation from today’s

vices.

Take control of your life

and make the best choice

you can!!!

Alchohol,

cigarettes and

drugs- say NO!!!

Page 4: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

The drugs, alchohol and cigarettes problem has always been topical,

especially nowadays. More and more young people decide to try one or another

kind of drug, to light a cigarette or to drink alchohol.

Better think before you try!

Page 5: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

• Surveys by the World Health Organization indicate, that the alchohol is the third most widespread cause of death, and the cigarettes – the first.

• The age at which people have their first fuddle has been drasticly lowered - from 14 to 11 years. Тhe situation is the same with the first cigarette.

• The begining is usually in the school yard or in a club.

Modern day murderers – drugs and alchohol

• Alcohol - the drinks, containing ethanol – ethyl alchohol,or as it is known in colloquial language - alcohol. The alchohol, which humans drink, is the result of the fermentation of natural products, which contain carbohydrates – most often fruit sugar.

Alcohol

Page 7: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Alchohol addiction is geneticly embedded – there are humans which are prone to alchoholism and ones which

are not. Therefore one should make the difference between a drunkard and an alchoholic.

In the case of a drunkard the person takes in large quantities of alchohol, but in the end he reaches a state of satiety. The difference between a drunkard and an alcoholic, is that the first‘s organism defences will activate and as a result he will vomit.

Drunkenness syndroms are well-known – from excitabilty, sleepiness, inadequacy, addled conciousness, lack of clear thought and coordination, to agression and violence.

Page 8: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

It‘s common knowledge, that small quantities of alcohol

have a positive effect on the heart and the nervous system.

Moreover having a drink or two is a tradition, which no one would overlook because it improves the mood and breaks the wall between people.

Page 9: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

A cigarette is a product, the purpose of which is smoking. It is a small cylindric object made from paper and filled with dried and chopped tobacco .

Some of the substances, contained in the cigarette smoke are: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nicotine, nitric oxide, methanol and benzole .

Cigarettes

Page 10: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

The list of illnesses, caused by perpetual smoking is considerably longer:

Cigarettes aid the development of bladder and kidneys cancer, and a decrease in fertility. Smoking while pregnant suppresses the correct development of the child.

The excessive intake has an additional negative effect on one‘s appearance. The teeth and nails become yellow in colour, the skin loses its elasticity and brightness, and foul breath and wrinkles appear prematurely.

Difficult breathing, pain in the chest, asthma, chronic bronchitis, impaired blood supply to the brain, increased

blood pressure, rapid pulse, lips cancer, tongue cancer, salivary glands cancer, larynx cancer, throttle cancer

and lungs cancer

Page 11: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them
Page 12: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

This is not the way. Don’t do it to yourself!

Page 13: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

If the consequences from smoking are so well known – than why do we do this to ourselves?

People addicted to nicotine and alchohol are often irritable when it comes to this question, simply because these

substances are much stronger than them. Тhey are physically and much more psychically dependent оn „their joys“.

Sometimes the urge to smoke or drink can change entirely the dependent person, if they don‘t receive their those, when

they need it. There‘s no difference between the drug dependence and the alchohol or the cigarette dependence.

Page 14: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

• The next time you head to the cigarettes and the lighter, think if it‘s really worth to cause this to yourself.

• Is it worth to do this to your loved ones or even to strangers?

• Is it worth to do it to your children, when with each cigarette you shorten the time, in which they‘ll be beside you, while you die slowly.

Don‘t forget – you live only one life!

A life without limits!!!

Page 15: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Now grab the cigarette package and throw it

directly into the rubbish bin. Only your willpower and self-confidence, that you‘re stronger, will help

you. Hurry, because you‘re running out of

time!

Is the drug more valuable than your own life!?

Psychic effects may include euphoria, anxiety, increased libido, freshness, an energy influx, self-confidence and sociability.

Psychic effects

Page 26: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Euphoria is a state of the mind, in which one feels very joyful and „overflowed" with strong emotions.

Anxiety: a psychic state, at which defensive reactions activate, without a direct cause. Charachteristics of anxiety are emotional tension, excitability and the expactation of an unknown event.

Increased libido: increased sexual desire.

Freshness – teeming with strength, energy and life.

Page 27: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Excessive sleep, increased apetite and depression, оften accompanied by anxiety and abstinence/drug craving/.

Side effects

Page 28: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Abstinence - narcotic craving

Narcotic craving is the condition, in which the adictee is deprived of the substance, to which they are addicted

(alchohol, stimulants, opiates and others) and experience strong, heavy and inevadable desire to obtain it.

Abstinence hast two separate components:

Psychological – the strong desire to expirience the so called „kick“ – the pleasure from the effect of the drug and feeling of comfort, and relaxation.

Physiological – expressed in the disortion of the flow of the physiological processes in the organism. In the absence of narcotic substance this may be sleepiness and perpetual fatigue.

When there is an abrupt deprivation of the drug, an abstinence crisis occurs.

Methamphetamine (METH – Not Even Once)

Page 30: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

• Methamphetamine (METH) is an psychoactive narcotic stimulant, considered to be one of the most dangerous drugs existing nowadays.

• From year 2002 to 2008, the use of methamphetamine between the ages of 12 and 17 decreased from 0.3% to 0.1% and between the ages of 18 to 25, from 0.6% to 0.2%.

Methamphetamine

Page 31: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Methamphetamine is a

powerful and addictive

stimulant, directly

affecting the central

points of the brain.

Metamphetamine can stop the

dopamine production in he brain, and so the people taking

it do not feel pleasure unless

they take a larger dose.

Frequent use of METH leads to brain collapse, high blood pressure, and an irreversable deterioration of brain

and blood cells, starting with infarcts and strokes!

Page 32: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

With ingredients worth 1000$, a dose of metamphetamine costs around 20 000$.

Page 33: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Why mustn‘t we try?(different responses to the

topic)

-I hate not being with my mind!!

-I‘d rather run 10 laps, than take DRUGS!!!

-I‘m convinced, that drugs SHOULDN‘T be banned - this only worsens the situation in every possible way.

-Everyone has the right to choose what they‘re going to do with their life – if they want to live it in the illusionary ( and possibly better) world of the narcotic mist – who has the right to stop them?

Life is not an illusion!!!

POLL

Page 34: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

It’s not worth it!!!

Page 35: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

Personal opinion

“I understand the problem of these boys and girls. Drugs have the ability to fool the mind of their user so he thinks everything is alright. However at a certain

moment things reach the point where you can‘t control them. All your friends have left you. I want to

say, that despite this these people might have been worthy in their own way. They might have lost their way, but they still have the chance to make things

right… “

Page 36: The pictures in the presentation might seem horrifying, but they are the truth and we shouldn’t turn a blind eye on them

“Be extremely careful when it comes to drugs, alchohol or cigarettes. Stay away from them! Remember the fact that you‘re not informed about the dangers in life DOES NOT EXCUSE YOU. Every intelligent and aware young person

must be interested in the problems of our time and acquainted with preventative measures for them and their solutions! Read and inform yourself, in order not to end

like a rubbish bag, found in a dirty rubbish bin, after losing everything human in yourself... “
