Dear Parents, This week I asked our fabulous Assistant Principal, Carolyn Strong, to be a contributing reporter. She writes: We wanted to remind our 2nd – 8th Grade parents that we will be taking the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills from Monday September 16th through Friday September 27th. This is both a requirement from the Diocese of Rockford and a great way to collect academic skills data on our students to better help our future instructional strategies. We would really like your support as parents with the following:
• Make sure your child/children go to bed at a good time each night during testing.
• Have a healthy breakfast each morning.
• Send a good snack and water for break time.
• Remind your children when they leave in the morning to “work to do your very best.”
• Results from the ITBS tests will be given out to parents at conference time. Thank you so very much for your support! Sincerely, Phillip DeRuntz, M.Ed. SS. Peter & Paul Principal

Interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about your faith?
Come learn, discover, and enrich your life through the study of Scripture and the rich traditions of the Catholic Church.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which both unbaptized adults and those baptized in other Christian denominations learn about the Catholic faith and way of life. It is a spiritual formation process culminating with entry into
the Catholic Church at Easter Vigil by celebrating the Sacraments of Christian Initiation: Baptism (if not previously baptized in a Christian denomination), Confirmation, and
the Eucharist. RCIA continues during the Easter season with the Period of Mystagogy lasting until Pentecost.
The first session is Monday, September 30 at the Parish office from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
