    CHAPTER ONE

    Introduction

In Philippines, there are many instructors in different schools. There are instructors who

act differently to each other. There are some who possesses negative behavior and there also

some of them possess positive behavior.

But he or she, as students, are they aware of the reasons why these instructors or teachers

are not the same in behavior or attitude? Are they able to know the factors that make their

instructors act differently? Maybe some of these factors come from their family background or

even their personal background. Their age, gender, educational attainment and their parents

educational background, the percentage of their LET, and their strategies in teaching are some of

the reasons or factors. Teaching has been perceived in the past as a profession of the few; the

    noblest profession of all.

In this study the research aims to find out the profiles, the percentage of their LET, and

the strategies in teaching of the VIT and Engineering instructors of Abra State Institute of

Sciences and Technology. Its purpose is to know the effect of their profile to the behavior they

    all possessing.

According to Jaramillo (2007), Teachers and other personnel are expected to perform

    varied tasks which lead.

Furthermore to Aquino (1989), Teacher can immeasurably enhance his social usefulness

by living for and with the community and by all means, be the first to set one example in good

behavior and keep the people informed on to the work and accomplishments of the school. The

teacher should feel that teaching in the noblest professions. He has to manifest genuine pride in

the calling. He should maintain the highest possible standards of the profession and encourage

  • 8/14/2019 The Profiles of the Vit and Engineering Research

    7/25

the admission into the profession of those who have the best qualifications. The teacher should

strive to pursue studies that will improve his efficiency and promote the prestige of the

    profession.

According to Raras (2006), The teacher, being a recognized leader and model in the

community is a key factor in the quest for quality education. His personal life can show how

leisure time activities affect physical and mental health and professional services.

Furthermore to Gregorio (1976), the teacher should feel the teaching is among the noblest

professions. He has manifest genuine pride in his calling. He should maintain the highest

possible standards of the profession and encourage the admission into the profession of those

who have the best qualifications. The teacher should, to the attainment of this institutions

mission. Teacher in many cases are councilors to their pupils or students. In the classroom,

learners are assisted how to lay a permanent foundation to sound mature adjustment and how to

have a well balanced life in all respects physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, social etc.

along the process of assistance giving, teachers should have a background of the learners nature.

One of the techniques to help teachers know better their learner is through their act and drawing.

Furthermore to Naungayan (2005), Teachers guidance can be great help in the matter of

having puppy love. Students can adjust themselves socially through proper guidance and

counseling and they will acquire enough in sights of their own to lead them on the right path to a

happy wholesome period of adolescence. So teachers like her must have emotional control,

ingenuity, insight and sympathetic attitude to honor and respect their students even if they are in-

    love with them.

According to the Disimulacion (1995), Teachers energy and attitudes likewise affect

his/her performance and the learners feelings toward him. Besides, the teachers attitude are

contagious and his/her pupils development, social and cultural values, emotional, and

psychological stability and spirituality. For this reason, it is in the teacher that the greatest

strength of educational lies. When the teachers begin his work, there should be assistance of

    personal and professional growth fitness.

Based on the conclusions, the researcher forward the following recommendations:

  • 8/14/2019 The Profiles of the Vit and Engineering Research

    18/25

    A. To the Teachers:

To the teachers of the institutions, it is highly recommended that instructors must give

their advice and best of teaching to their students so that they will be inspired to study

well. Teachers should praise judiciously, they should give good words to the students,

give it to them promptly without reservation.

    B. To the Administrators:

To the school administration that must be more responsible of what they are doing in this

school for the sake of the students and to be well-managed school in our province.

    C. To the Future Researchers:

The researchers also recommend to the future researcher to conduct a study regarding the

importance of teaching personality. A future researcher that possesses positive behaviors should

    have an award or acknowledgement.
