SITUATION AND DESCRIPTION

The former Methodist church development site is

located opposite the Bournemouth International Centre

(BIC) and within sight of the main Bournemouth Beach.

The site is located between the Park Central and Royal

Exeter Hotels. The town centre shopping areas of

Westover Road and the Square are both within easy

walking distance.

In the last couple of years this area of Bournemouth has

seen residential developments such as Taylor Wimpey’s

Coast built on Priory Road and the commercial

developments including BH2 leisure constructed on the

former bus station site in Exeter Road and Hilton have

a 5 star hotel development on Terrace Road.

Bournemouth Council are due to start work on the

construction of a new hotel scheme on land between the

BIC and the Taylor Wimpey Coast Scheme.

Exeter Road has now become a well established night

time destination with a range of mainly local restaurants

and bars complimented by the newly building BH2

where the occupiers are predominantly national

restaurant chains.
