Velvet Underground arose from

the backstreets of the New York

sub culture. Lead by front man

Lou Reed, Velvet Underground

fashioned the subversive punk

rock culture as we see it today.

With the patronage of Andy

Warhol, Velvet Underground

became the most influential

back in the history of rock & roll

Deep set in their compositions,

one can find traces of the dark

and repressive air of German

expressionism and Nihilism. It

is difficult to find any other

band that could precede Velvet

Underground when it came to

their experimentalism and

versatility.

Their music exposed the

decadent and seditious lifestyle

of the underground elite. With

drug addled and sexually

suggestive themes, their music

appealed to the sensibilities of

every urban youth.

Iggy Pop is the godfather of

punk rock. He founded the

band The Stooges, which was

monumental for the birth of

punk rock. Alongside Iggy also

Iggy Pop was the

energy. He exuded a certain

animalistic stamina that

magnetized audiences

everywhere. His vivacity

during stage concerts coupled

with his edgy baritone delivery

made him the ultimate bad boy

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Toss the shrimp in a bowl with the olive oil, melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper; set aside for 10 minutes. Arrange the

Bake in the preheated oven until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
