2020 NORTHERN ONTARIO CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE The 2020 Northern Ontario Catholic Youth Con-ference will be held on Saturday, February 29 at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall in North Bay, Ontario. Join youth from across Northern Ontario for a day of faith, music, sharing, talks and powerful wit-ness featuring popular Catholic Speaker Chris Bray. This year’s theme is “unChained” as we reflect on how God can free us from what holds us back in life. Registration fee is only $20 and includes all meals! The Conference runs from

10am – 8pm, and overnight accommodations are available for travel-lers. Ash Wednesday is a day of Fasting & Abstinence, this means: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence from meat. Fasting means a person is permitted to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but they are not to equal that of a full meal. Fasting is obligatory for those aged 18 - 59, and encouraged for others unless medical conditions prevent from doing so.
