In Romania, the teaching language is Romanian, and also the national minorities’languages (Hungarian, German, Bulgarian, Polish, Serbian, Rromani, Turkish, Russian, Slovakian), aspects stipulated in the National Education Law.
The number of school population in 2015 was of 3.999.900, distributed on each level of schooling.
The national system of education consists in public, private and confessional educational establishments.
School education is organized on levels and forms of education and provides the required conditions for the acquisit ion of key competences and for gradual professionalization .

Secondary school education (11-19 years old) Lower secondary school – middle school – V-VIII

The duration of the school year and the number of classes per week
In Romania, the school year has 36 weeks, from the 15th of September until the 24th of June, and the number of classes per week differs according to the level of education:
-20 classes for primary school-25 classes for lower secondary school-30 classes for upper secondary schoolStudents attend classes 5 days a week.
1. Education funding is done for all the education institutions either public, private or confessional.
2. In Romania, schools can access European funds (The European Social Fund), either to develop the human ressource or to equip schools.

The Commune of Adancata lies on the north-north-east of the municipality of Suceava, 12 km far. It’s located on the national road DN 29A. The Adancata village is surrounded by a stretch of woods that winds down into the village.

Brief History1882 – the first officially documented recognition; 1910 – primary school accomodating 165 students; head teacher - Ioan Băncescu; 1947 – new school with four classroom facilities; 1958 – four more classrooms and one gymnasium are added to the new school; 1975 – the current school with five classrooms and annexes are built in a new location;1976 – the school’s workshop building opens;2007 – the 125th anniversary
Current Status 360 pupils, of which 70 study in kindergarten; 130 study primary school; 160 study in secondary school.25 teachers
OBJECTIVES: School Adancata, Suceava aims at providing student-oriented education based on communication, trust, cooperation and understanding, at all of its levels– kindergarten, primary or middle. By maintaining close relationships with the students’ families and the local community, and by using the most efficient teaching methods, we offer all students the support they need to grow in harmony with the local traditions, and national and European values, with a view to become members of the society.
