Confidentiality and Consent
School Nurses offer a confidential service to young people. However, there are some situations when the School Nurse will need to share information. This would be discussed at the time. Young people may, at times, give their own consent to talk with a health professional. This ability to give informed consent is carefully assessed by the School Nurse, and is based on their individual age and level of understanding. Young people are encouraged to talk with their parents/ carers about health issues that are troubling them.
IMMUNISATIONS
In secondary school the following immunisations will be offered:
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV): Year 8 (girls only)
Tetanus, diphtheria and polio: Year 10
You can contact the Immunisation Team on 01392 208469
