Thanks to my helpers who assisted me when the staff was at Quilt Market. Things went smoothly and it was a fun time. Lorraine even commented on how nice the store looked when she got back. I think she believed me when I told her before she left that I didn’t know how to put any of the fabric back in the correct place. Now I can’t wait to see what they purchased at market!

We have two exciting events scheduled, the Sew Apalooza in October and a Hope Yoder event in November. Space is limited so sign up early. These are fun sales and informational events with professional presenters and new products available on site. Please check out the event description page to see what they are all about.

I will be attending Bernina University in July and Baby Lock convention in August, so my summer will be busy. I always come back energized and excited about the new products and new education available. I can’t wait to share what I have learned with all of you.

In Case of an "Event"….

An "Event" is when something happens when you're sewing/embroidering that jams up your machine. It's bad enough that you think you should bring it in to the store.

But STOP!!!

We sometimes have a problem recreating the problem. It's that old story of taking your car into the shop and the mechanic can't find anything wrong with it. It's been known for us to sew like crazy on your machine and find nothing wrong.

SO….

Leave everything as it is. If you're embroidering, cut the threads and take the hoop off (bring it). Then you can remove the embroidery module… but bring it with you, too.

Just stop where you are. Leave the needle, foot, thread, and fabric right where it is. This will make it easier for us to see what the problem is and to fix it. We don't need your power cord… unless it's a no power issue. Please bring your foot control… in case we need to test that.

tech corner By Brian Davis

NOW bring it in.

Only do this if the machine is jammed or has failed in some way. If it's just a needle break and it still sews try all the usual solutions:

Try a new needle.

Check the threading…is there tension?

Is the bobbin case in correctly?

Are you using the correct bobbin?

You're not using hand quilting thread in a machine, right?

Clean and oil the hook area.

If the machine still acts up or jams, STOP, and bring it in as it sits.

We'll fix it up for you!
