TRANSCRIPT
Mother of the Weary
When we are worn from a day’s work
Or bent beneath our suffering,
When we absorb the pain of another
Or tire from trying to do better,
When we are fatigued from reaching out
Or lose the strength to resist injustice,
You wrap your spacious maternal arms
Around our tiredness and affliction.
You cradle us with infinite compassion
And rock us gently with your love.
Today: I rest in the arms of the Mother.

Used Spectacles
Once again the used eye glasses box in the Friendship Room has filled and the glasses, frames and lenses have gone to IRIS at Southpark Centre where Manager Sandra Mageau and her staff process these spare devices and see that they are used to help others who are in need of such assistance. Many of us at St. Paul’s are obliged to replace our glasses from time to time and by bringing the “old pair” to church for forwarding to others in this fashion, we find yet another way to make a difference in our world.
As in previous years, St. Paul’s will be participating in
the Pride Parade (June 9). More details to follow soon…
