A Stone-based gardener has hiton a new way to bring spring

colour to local gardens by dyeinghis beard for charity.

Jeff Deaville of J & AJ Deaville Garden Servicesis sporting a fine crop of purple facial hair toraise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and

Katharine House.

Jeff says: ‘One of my long-standing customerspassed away recently from Alzheimer’s, andKatharine House did a great job looking aftermy gran, so when folks started asking what

will add spring colour to their gardens after thedull winter, I saw the chance to raise a bit of

cash for two great causes and Sarah atHeavenly Hair in Stone did the business.’

Jeff’s colourful display has raised a smileamong his regulars. Retired teacher John Priceof Meir Heath says: ‘I think it’s a brilliant idea -much more amusing than the usual jokes Jeffcomes up with. Nothing’s too much trouble forJeff when he calls so it’s a pleasure to help him

with his fund-raising.’
