“Jesus’ Way”— Theology of Hospitality [Bishop Gruss] Jesus shows us the way in practicing hospitality. It is much more than programs and events. He teaches hospitality as a way of the heart – a way of life. Bishop Gruss will provide the human side of hospitality and its theology. “It Comes from the Heart” — Intentional Discipleship

[Fr. Mark McCormick and Kris Dona] Seek Christ with an intentional heart, cultivate a meaningful relationship and invite others to follow after Him. “Begin at the Beginning” — USCCB Letter on Stewardship

[Dcn. John and Joni Osnes] Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response challenges the faithful to embrace stewardship as an expression of discipleship. Come learn about this important document and how to begin studying it in your parish community. “Empieza por el Principio” — USCCB Carta sobre la Corresponsabilidad [Fr. Janusz Korban] Corresponsabilidad: Respuesta de los Discípulos, desafía a los ieles laicos a abrazar la corresponsabilidad como una expresión del discipulado. “We Are All Related” — Catholic Hospitality

[Dcn. Marlon Leneaugh] God pursues us for he longs that we abide with him. Hospitality is the conscious effort to welcome all into relationship with one another, but ultimately with Christ. “Come Let Us Adore Him” — The Eucharist at the Heart of Stewardship [Bishop Gruss] Stewardship is the living out of the Eucharist that we celebrate. Through the Eucharist, we become more deeply transformed as disciples and stewards. Join Bishop Gruss as he brings you closer to a relationship with Jesus Christ through the Eucharist. “It Works!” — Parish Hospitality in Action

[Suzanne Feist, Fr. Jim Hoerter and parishioners] This session will provide practical and proven ways to carry out the vision of stewardship in your parish.

“Growing Young Disciples” — Strong Catholic Families [Jeff and Stephanie Hurd]

Faith is first nurtured in the family. Practical advice for parents to strengthen the faith in their home and to raise disciples in love with the Lord. “Creciendo Discípulos Jóvenes” — Fuertes Familias Católicas

[Fr. Janusz Korban] La familia es el lugar donde la fe se nutre primero. Esta session incluirá consejos prácticos para los padres para fortalecer la fe en su casa y para crecer discípulos en el amor con el Señor. “Charting our Course of Stewardship” — Creating a Focused Mission Statement and an Engaging Vision Statement

[Sandra McNeely] How to write an impact-focused stewardship mission statement and an engaging stewardship vision statement that supports your parish mission and vision.

“Seeking the Lost” — Strategies of Evangelization [Bishop Gruss]

If the Gospel is “good news”, why would we not want to share it? The practice of authentic Christian stewardship leads to evangelization. Learn the “why” and “how” of shar-ing the Gospel. “Grateful Response” — Spirituality of Stewardship

[Tony Koenig and Carrie Donovan] Stewardship is the grateful response of the Christian disciple to the Lord’s generosity. Come learn about the spirituality of the Christian steward. “Get Out of the Pews” — Adult Ministry/ Discipleship

[Members of Ft. Pierre, St. John] We are called to be evangelists—to share the good news. Christ has given us each distinct gifts in order to build up his body, the Church. Come hear how using our gifts in service brings joy, fulfillment, and peace. “Behind the Music” — Music Ministry

[Teresa Spiess and Peg Westrich] Where words are not enough to move our hearts to closer union with God, music comes to our aid. Music touches people’s hearts and draws all to worship.

“Stewardship, then, is all-encompassing. It provides a place for the simplest individual gesture of kindness…”

- USCCB pastoral letter, Stewardship, A Disciple’s Response

Keynote Address:

Stewardship is intimately connected to hospitality and discipleship. It is what we do after we say “I believe.” Bishop Gruss will share how an invitation led him down a path that transformed his life and ultimately led him to Rapid City.

Stewardship Director’s Address:

Stewardship is fundamentally the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives…Wherever the Spirit works there is joy! Father Mark McCormick will share the fruit of stewardship in the trenches from his experience of traveling throughout the Diocese this past year.
