Test Taking Tips
Multiple Choice Tests
![Page 22: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
Test Taking Tips Read the question before you look at the answer.
Come up with the answer in your head before looking at the possible answers.
Eliminate answers you know are wrong.
If there is no penalty for guessing, always take an educated guess and select an answer.
![Page 23: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
Test Taking Tips Don’t keep changing your answers, usually
your first choice is the right one, unless you misread the question.
In “all of the above” and “None of the above” choices, if you are certain one of the statements is true don’t choose “None of the above” or one of the statements are false don’t choose “All of the above”.
![Page 24: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
Test Taking Tips A positive choice is more likely to be true
than a negative one. Usually the correct answer is the choice
with the most information.
Sometimes answers are found within the test.
![Page 25: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)

True – False Tests
![Page 26: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)
Test Taking Tips Usually there are more true answers than
false on most tests. If there is no guessing penalty,
then guess. You have a 50% chance of getting the right answer.
Read through each statement carefully, and pay attention to the qualifiers and keywords.
![Page 27: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
Test Taking Tips
Qualifiers like “never, always, and every mean that the statement must be true all of the time. Usually these type of qualifiers lead to a false answer.
![Page 28: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
Test Taking Tips Qualifiers like “usually, sometimes, and generally”
mean that if the statement can be considered true or false depending on the circumstances. Usually these type of qualifiers lead to an answer that is true.
True or False: Usually when a student prepares for a test he/she will receive a passing grade.
![Page 29: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
Test Taking Tips If any part of the question is false, then the entire
statement is false.
If part of the statement is true, it does not necessarily make the entire statement true.
![Page 30: The Test is Yet to Come!](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070423/5681672e550346895ddbd231/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
