About the village Tintesti •Tintesti is a village from Buzau, Muntenia,

Romania, consisting of villages Tintesti (residence), Maxenu, Odaia Banului and

Pogoanele.The village is situeted South of Buzau, in plain

of Buzau and Calmatuiului. Throught •Maxenu, the village is crossed by the county

road DJ203D which, with DN2C linking the Buzau with Slobozia.

•Most of people are roumanian(91,66%), with minority of rromi (4,69%). For 3,63% of

population, ethnicity is not known. By point of view confessional, most of people are

orthotox(95,55%). For 3,63% of population, the religion is not known.

History In 1902, the

village Tintesti was part of

county Buzau and was

formated by hamlets Tintesti and Pogoanele

Mici, with a population of 870 of people, in the village worked one

school and one church.

In 1925, the two villages, Maxenu and Tintesti,

was part of Glodeanurile from the same county. The village Tintesti had the villages Tintesti and Tintesti-Pogoanele, and a population of 1564 of

people.

Historical monuments

Three monuments from Tintesti are inclused in history monuments list

from Buzau. Two of them are classified archeological. One of them belongs from

Dacian culture, in the vegetable garden from

Maxenu, another is from 4th millennium.

The Garoflid

The mansion Garoflid is

there at the end of the

19th century from the village

Tintesti, is the third history monument, because is

classified like architectural monument.

Tintesti Church

Firt church of village Tintesti was rised in 1842, was build with wood and was named

„Sfantul Ierarh Nicolae”. The church served for prayer time of 90 years, until it burned for

unknown reasons. The present church is named

„Nasterea Maicii Domnului”, is from 1910, last year

celebrated one century of existing.
